Save Your Brave: Empowering Calm Confidence in Hospital Care Moments.
Calm Fairy Stacey presents hospital staff with a framework called "Save Your Brave" which helps paediatric patients with procedural anxiety to stay present so that their anxiety doesn't escalate. This presentation will explain how you can follow 5 steps and utilize simple mindfulness tools to help children stay within their "Window of Tolerance" (coined by Dr Daniel Siegel); helping to keep their nervous system regulated, making them more likely to co-operate and cope with procedures and less likely to endure ongoing traumatic responses. This Professional Development was presented at Sunshine Coast University Hospital in February, 2025.
